Pre-Flight

Q: From where do we take off?
A: You take off from our private terminal with a comfortable lobby and ample parking.

Q: Do we need to get to the airport two hours before takeoff for screening?
A: Security checks are performed before your arrival. You will take off immediately upon your arrival. Without ANY waiting. None.

Q: How much luggage can we check?
A: It varies a lot by the type of aircraft you use. Skis, snowboards, and fishing and hunting equipment are common items as is your favorite extra-large suitcase.

Q: Is there a check-in line?
A: Check in process consists in showing a picture ID for your first flight and a hand shake for the following ones.

Q: We're thinking of taking a family vacation in the Bahamas. Do you fly there?
A: We fly directly to 15 islands in the Bahamas.

Q: Isn't charter expensive?
A: It can be very economical if you need to be efficient. Or, if you'd like to treat yourself, you can upgrade your aircraft for something more expensive.

Q: Do pilots conduct pat-downs?
A: No.

Q: Do you fly one-way flights?
A: Yes.

Q: How do I make a reservation?
A: Just call 800-782-0773, send a fax to 802-863-5762 or drop us an e-mail.

Q: Is it true you only fly business people? Or can we charter the plane for a vacation?
A: A quarter of our passengers fly for leisure. Flying charter is the best way to start your vacation.

Q: How far in advance do I have to book a plane?
A: We need a minimum of one hour's advance notice.

Q: How many airports do you fly to?
A: 5,300 airports are available to us in the USA. Airlines can land at about 500.

In-Flight

Q: Aren't small planes and jets really cramped?
A: Chairs in our planes are similar in size to living room chairs; they are made of leather and they recline.

Q: I hate it when I keep bumping elbows with the person I'm sitting next to. How many seats across do you have?
A: Seats are separate. You don't have to share the armrests with anyone unless you feel like it!

The lightest aircraft in our fleet has a seating configuration similar to that in a limousine, with two seats facing each other and sharing one armrest.

Q: I need space to work while I'm flying. Do you have tray tables on each seat?
A: Tray tables are large enough to eat a real dinner, or work with several folders and a laptop simultaneously.

Q: When our team flies to a business presentation, we like to sit next to each other so we can strategize and practice on the way there. How would we do this on your planes?
A: In our jets, seats can pivot to face each other in a very flexible manner. The layout is very versatile. For example, four persons can work together as a group while three others work individually. Or everybody can face each other.

Q: Do you have rest rooms on your planes?
A: Restrooms are available on every aircraft.

Q: Can I use my cell phone on the planes?
A: You should not use your mobile phone when you are in the air. All jets have satellite phones.

Q: Is it safe to fly on small planes?
A: Our safety record is immaculate in 19 years of business. Few airlines can advertise that.

Q: Our offices are in two locations. Can we pick someone up on the way?
A: Yes. It is a very common practice for our passengers.

Q: I hate airline food. What do you have for food on your planes?
A: Sweet and salty snacks are provided for every flight as are drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic). We can provide any catering you need from a simple fruit tray to complete luxury dinners.

Q: Are we allowed an extra bag of pretzels? Do we have to pay for those little bottles of alcohol?
A: All those things are included and available to your liking.

Q: Is smoking allowed?
A: Smoking is not allowed on board.

Q: Do you lock the doors into the cockpit?
A: Security checks are performed on everybody before boarding. And you will know who is flying with you (family, friends, colleagues, etc.) Our cockpits do not have doors.

Q: Can I make changes in the itinerary?
A: Changes are constant in your life. Itinerary changes are easy and free. They can even be made once you're airborne.

Q: How many people can fly on each plane?
A: From one to nine passengers plus pets.

Q: Do you have little TVs in the planes?
A: Our medium and large jets are equipped with TV, sound system and a library of CD's and tapes. You're welcome to bring your own too.

Q: Is there a flight attendant?
A: In our larger aircraft there is an attendant.

Q: Can I bring my dog or cat with me on the plane?
A: Yes, pets are welcome and do not have to be caged. They even get treats!

Q: Can you fly through bad weather? If so, isn't it really bumpy?
A: We follow the same regulations as airliners regarding weather. We may have a more personalized angle on weather conditions. We will not cancel a flight for a temporary weather phenomenon. Flexibility allows us to advise you and make the best decision (change departure time or alter destination).

Q: Do the seats stretch out so I can sleep on board?
A: Yes, and on the larger aircraft of our fleet a twin bed can be set up.

Q: What kind of music do you have on board?
A: The Challenger is stocked with a variety of styles but we can have your favorite music or you can play your own.

Q: Do you hand out those little earphones that never work?
A: No, we provide noise cancelling headsets and DVD players.

Post-Flight

Q: What happens if our sales meeting runs late? Do we have to book a new flight?
A: The aircraft stays with you and takes you where you want, when you want.

Q: Where do we land? Do we have to go to the main terminal to catch a cab? How do I arrange for ground transportation?
A: You can land at one of the 5,300 airports in the USA (airlines serve about 500) and go directly to a facility dedicated to private aviation where your car, limousine, boat, or helicopter waits for you. We can arrange any type of transportation at your destination.

Q: I hate it when the airlines lose my luggage. Does Heritage Flight have good baggage handlers?
A: Your luggage will be handled by the crew of the aircraft. No third party is involved and no luggage was ever been lost or damaged during a Heritage trip.

Q: Aren't smaller planes the last ones to land at big airports?
A: No. First come, first served.
